Day 52 - 12 Aug - Hudson

Day 52 - 12 Aug - Hudson - 165kms

We had a wonderful start to our ride from Carleton University to downtown Ottawa via the Rideau Canal. The route took us down Sussex Drive to where the Prime Minister and the Governor General lives. That area is has great bike paths so you can ride and look at the embassys.
Most of the day we were on good roads with wide shoulders. It made for easy riding. A little rain didn't slow us down.
We had two ferries to cross. The first one at Cumberland took us to Masson-Angers, Quebec. Yeah! Another province!  The other one at Carillon took us to Pointe Fortune. The ferry rides are fun!

A long day today but there are only a couple of the long rides left!
On to Montreal tomorrow! There are lots of turns to the route. I'll have to pay close attention!
